Electronic Super Speed Grammar.wmv

This is a video I shot yesterday of my 3rd graders doing a review lesson on adjectives. We used Coach B's wonderful new tool, Electronic Superspeed Grammar. The students love doing it and will actually beg me to do it. I thought they did such a great job that they could almost teach the lesson themselves. Next time! I apologize for the narrow video. I forgot to have my videographer turn my phone horizontally. The bright sunlight also made the coloring bad. Enjoy!

Yesterday, I had an extra aide without a student in my room. We video taped my 3rd grade reviewing adjectives using Coach B's wonderful, new Electronic Superspeed Grammar. The students love this and did such a great job with it that I almost thought they could have taught the lesson themselves. Next time I might try that! I do apologize for the narrow video. I forgot to tell my videographer to turn the camera around the long ways. I guess I was too focused on my teaching. Enjoy!

Welcome

Thanks for stopping by! This is my new blog devoted to my journey with Pilates. I purchased my first Pilates video tape almost 14 years ago. At the time, I didn't even know what Pilates was! I struggled through the the mat exercises not sure what I was supposed to do. I only did it a few times over the next few years. Less than a year after the birth of my second child, I joined Weight Watchers. I began working out in the morning before work using the tape. I loved the fact that I could choose between the 15 minute workouts! Soon, I updated to the DVD version and added to my collection with several other instructors.

Still, I longed to be instructed by a certified instructor. Those are difficult to find in Pgh. A few years ago, I found a studio located above my children's pediatrician's office. The cost of training kept me from making the commitment. After several stressful events, I began emotional eating and regained everything I had worked for. I also became out of shape because it was getting harder and harder to wake up early enough. Finally last summer, I took the plung and bega training at Dragonfly Pilates. My instructor, Misty is wonderful. She really takes the time to know you, your needs, and your strength and weaknesses! I absolutely love going! Why the blog?

It is my hopes that maintaining this blog, I will stay committed to my goals. I hope to meet others on a similar journey wether it be Pilates, weight loss, or stress management. I hope that we can support each other and share information. I would also blog about my progress as well as any set backs that I encounter. This is the beginning of a journey worth being traveled! Please visit often!
